Switching to codeberg.org

The world is changing fast currently and cooperations are showing their true face in dropping support for DEI and active help for fascists. One of my core believes in regard to the internet and its content is to decentralize everything and give the power over their content to the people. I help trying to achieve this with the development of WordPress and the Fediverse. But I couldn't get myself bothered to drop github for my code - until I got a recommendation for codeberg and I think the concept is very good:

Codeberg is a democratic community-driven, non-profit software development platform operated by Codeberg e.V. and centered around Codeberg.org, a Forgejo-based software forge.

Codeberg e.V. is a registered non-profit association based in Berlin, Germany. You don't have to be a member of the association in order to use Codeberg.org or to contribute to the development of the platform, but if you want you can join Codeberg e.V. to support the project financially, be informed about Codeberg and, optionally, to actively contribute to the association.

-- codeberg.org

That means that codeberg is in the public hand and a non profit organization based in germany. It can raise money but not profit.

Dependencies on commercial, external, or proprietary services for the operation of the platform are avoided, in order to guarantee independence and reliability.

I love this. So I started migrating to codeberg.org starting with lste and its plugins.
